It's only been three days since Halloween and my roommate and I have already started decorating for Christmas. We've purchased pink Christmas lights which arrived today. We've already hung them along the perimeter of the room. Christmas music has been playing off of my roommate's Pandora list for the past few days. We've cut out snowflakes from stolen printer paper from the printer down stairs. The stockings were hung on our bulliten boards and held up by thumb tacs. We bought candy canes. Our friends enjoy eating those. Our room is filled with holiday spirit. It makes me so happy inside. Christmas is my favorite time of year. Whether it occurs at the beginning of November, July, or December 25th, nothing puts me in a better mood than Christmas. The air is just filled with cheer and good wishes.
I feel a little ashamed because we have basically skipped over Thanksgiving entirely. But the Christmas season is so...magical. It makes us happy inside. I don't care if people think we're crazy. Truth is, we probably are a little nuts for starting so early. But no one can say our room isn't festive.
